Further to the recent post on how HBOT benefits sports injuries and hastens recovery, the attached peer reviewed paper covers that very topic. Published in April 2011 by Pedro Barata et al, the paper reviews a number of trials and studies conducted on the various aspects of and specific injury types associated with sports. Injures such as: sprains, fractures, muscle injuries, cruciat ligament injuries and more. It also covers in good detail the mechanisms of HBOT and how it is applicable to sports medicine. Many of the studies reviewed are randomized, controlled and double-blind studies.

It also presents a brief overview of what HBOT is in line with other publications elsewhere on the site. Its a great and fully referenced read.
